Home for senior citizens ready for inauguration

Kakinada: The Red Cross Home for Senior Citizens at Vakalapudi is getting ready for inauguration on January 22. It was built at a cost of Rs 70 lakh. Reliance Industries Limited provided 12 cots with beds costing Rs 1.5 lakh and five dining tables with chairs and other donors contributed Rs 10 lakh, said Collector and Indian Red Cross Society district chairman Gopalakrishna Dwivedi. He was addressing a meeting of the IRCS here on Monday.

IRCS district secretary P. Durga Raju, executive committee chairman Y.D. Rama Rao, vice-chairman Aluri Vijaya Lakshmi, treasurer Madhava Swami and others were present.
